I've been drawing pen and ink images for almost thirty years.  Apart from the usual art paper, I have also worked on drink coasters, napkins, paper towels, t-shirts, styrofoam cups, ticket stubs, and terra cotta pots.  I also paint and wood-burn my images.

Many of my drawings are fantasies of beaches, beachcomber shacks, tiki bars ... just what you might expect from a decades-long fan of Jimmy Buffett and the "trop-rock" singer/songwriters his work has inspired.  I love drawing the real Key West and Gulf Coast bars and restaurants where my favorite singer/songwriters, such as Jim Hoehn, Hugo Duarte, Sunny Jim White, Jim Morris, and others play.

I also enjoy western history, and creating western vistas, saloons, ghost towns, and haciendas.  Photos of the movie ranches of California and Arizona, where westerns were filmed, and landmark buildings of favorite places like the historic town of Tombstone, Arizona, also inspire drawings.

My most special work happens when people share a photograph of a place they love, and ask me to create an image of their home, their business, or their favorite bar or restaurant or vacation spot.
