Original
art depicting a special place makes a unique gift or keepsake.
I can
create an original pen and ink drawing from a photo of your home,
favorite vacation spot,
bar or restaurant, business,
or another favorite location.
You
can also choose a phrase to be added to your drawing, if you wish.
Here are some suggestions ~ which one makes you think of your special place?
These
are drawings done from photos;
most were commissioned by individuals
as gifts for friends and family.

The Troubadour in West
Hollywood was a gathering place for many people in the Southern California
singer/songwriter music scene of the mid-60s to the mid-70s. Among the
frequent patrons on those days were Jackson Browne, Don Henley and Glenn Frey
and other members of the Eagles, Warren Zevon, Linda Rondstadt, J.D. Souther,
James Taylor, Tom Waits, and Jim Morrison and the Doors.

Another location important to the people in the Southern
California singer/songwriter music scene of the mid-60s to the mid-70s, now
razed and replaced with a shopping center. Janis Joplin died here;
frequent residents included Warren Zevon, Van Morrison, Tom Waits, and Jim
Morrison. The Tropicana was part of the inspiration for
Warren Zevon's song "Desperadoes Under the Eaves" ~ he called it The
Hollywood Hawaiian Hotel.
