For
almost ten years I have done drawings in bars and restaurants, using
their drink coasters.
The coasters look like this on the back:
|
 |
These
coasters were done
in payment for votes in the
2006 Key West Margaritaville
"Queen of Somewhere Hot" contest.
The two on top are on coasters
from Schooner Wharf;
the other four are done on
Conch Republic Seafood Company
coasters.
I still have several Schooner Wharf
coasters; if you'd like to commission your own drawing,
contact me! |
 |
Some
people have asked for sets of coasters that go together. Here are
examples of two sets I have done. You can find another set further
down on this page.

Five
views of Key West:
Schooner Wharf, the Conch Republic Seafood Company, the lighthouse, an
eyebrow house, and a beach bar, done as a commission.
These pieces are sold,
but I still have a few of the
Conch Republic coasters left.

Recently a friend found a bundle of napkins from the Conch Republic Seafood
Company in Key West. They don't use these napkins any longer, so I was
glad to get them. The drawings on the left are on some of
those napkins. They mount nicely with the CRSC logo on one side, and the
drawing on the other.

These are scenes from Key West drawn on Schooner Wharf coasters. The views
are of the lighthouse, Capt. Tony's Saloon, Sloppy Joe's Bar, and Mile Marker
Zero.

More Key West coasters, done on giveaways from the Jimmy Buffett fan music
festival Meeting of the Minds in 2004. The view are Mallory Square at
sunset, a parrot riding a bicycle down Duval Street, the White Street Pier, and
the Southernmost Buoy.

A friend of mine plays in a band called the Rum
Punch Bandits. He asked for a drawing for their website, and while I'm
not really a color artist, this is what ended up in his hands.
|
|
I recently donated a drawing to a silent auction which was part of the St. Louis
Parrothead Club's party "Flipperstock."
I'm pleased to say that it tied with a Jimmy Buffett tour poster in bringing in
the most money for the auction, at $125!

|
This picture was donated to the silent auction of the 2007 Phins to the West
parrothead event in Laughlin, Nevada. I look forward to seeing how well it
does!

Main

This
was done for a fan of the television show "The Magnificent
Seven." She collects drawings of outhouses, so a friend
commissioned this as a birthday present. |
.jpg) |
This
image was also drawn from the television show "The Magnificent
Seven." The building was a set on Gene Autry's historic Melody
Ranch, where much of the series was shot. |

The
Birdcage Theatre is one of the most well-known buildings in historic
Tombstone, Arizona. This image was inspired by photos of the
building between the time it closed in 1889 and its reopening in the
early 19002. |

Mescal Movie Ranch in Arizona has been the site of many film
shoots. This image is of one of the saloons on the property. |
